Frequently Asked Questions

How is pregnancy week calculated?

Count weeks from the first day of your last period. Each week is 7 days. Week 1 starts on your LMP, not conception.

Why count from LMP instead of conception?

LMP is easier to identify than conception. Ovulation typically occurs around day 14, so conception happens about 2 weeks after LMP.

What trimester am I in at 15 weeks?

Weeks 13-26 are second trimester. At 15 weeks, you're in the second trimester, often when morning sickness improves.

When is full term pregnancy?

Full term is weeks 37-42. Babies born before 37 weeks are considered premature. After 42 weeks is post-term.

How accurate is the pregnancy week calculator?

Very accurate for dating if you know your LMP. Ultrasound in first trimester can refine dating if cycles are irregular.
